Education and Experience

Dr. Huong Le has over 15 years of experience in the dental field. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Oregon State University in 1994. She then earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine with High Honor from the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in 1998. After graduating from OHSU, Dr. Le practiced general dentistry for six years in Portland, Oregon prior to spending a year of continued education at the University of Florida’s School of Dentistry- Orthodontic Department where she received a Fellowship Certificate in Orthodontics.  Driven to bring beautiful smiles to people, she went on to complete her postgraduate residency in Orthodontics at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York.
 
Dr. Le is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.
 
With her experience as a general practitioner and her skills gained in orthodontics, Dr. Le excels in the interdisciplinary and customized individual treatment planning approach. As an orthodontic patient herself for four years, she truly understands what it is like to be on the receiving end of the orthodontic treatment.  She strives to offer her patients the most advanced and comprehensive care through the latest advancements in orthodontics.

Family Life

In her spare time, Dr. Le enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, listening to classical music, and watching the Food Network. She is married to Don Nguyen and they have twin boys Minh Quan and Minh Kiet. Dr. Le looks forward to spending time with the kids on outdoor activities when they get older. As for Don, he is really looking forward to the three of them going golfing and fishing together.

Dr. Lauren Cai is a specialist in orthodontics and has been providing quality orthodontic care for patients of all ages for over 25 years..

She graduated from the University of California in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Biochemistry. She earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1994. In 1996, Dr. Cai completed two additional years of training in the specialty of orthodontics. She then received her orthodontic certificate along with her Master of Science degree (MS) from Northwestern University. She is a current member of the following associations:

• American Dental Association
• American Association of Orthodontists
• Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists
• Lower Columbia Dental Society

Dr. Cai has served as secretary/treasurer, vice president, and president of the Lower Columbia Dental Society. She regularly attends continuing education courses and meetings to keep updated with the latest and most advanced products and procedures.Dr. Cai and her husband, Kasey, have two children, Rebecca and Ryan. Along with being an enthusiastic “foodie”, she enjoys skiing, traveling and reading.
